InshaAllaah I am not going to spend too much time listing likes and dislikes, it takes too much time and gets a bit much to read.
My marriage failed before as there we were not compatible. Race was not an issue (and still isn't),(i was born in the UK and am of Pakistani origin) but it was more personality, points of view, character and expectations.
One can grow a beard/put on a hijaab and learn Islam, but changing character and personality is another issue, you are who you are, it's just about finding the right fit. So on saying this, I would like a Brother that deals with his responsibilities, that I can actually properly communicate with in terms if views and understanding. Who is looking for a companion to work with and not to have a master/slave dictatorship
I also alhamdulillah, love and enjoy the highs and lows of my Islam, its all a learning journey. Emaan goes up and down, but I cannot deal with people who are overbearing with the Deen. I love my Deen as well, but I feel it is about balance and extremities can be a bit scary and offputting. The Qur'an was revealed in stages and Islam is not overbearing :) So if your looking for an overtly strict Sister or you are an overtly strict Brother, then I am not the Sister for you.
